Administrative Assistant

CWA Engineers Inc. (CWA) is an industry-leading consulting engineering firm that provides services in the ports and marine terminals, mining, infrastructure, and wood products industries to clients across North America and around the world.

With our expanding client base and growing project needs, CWA is looking for a qualified Administrative Assistant to join our team. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform secretarial and clerical duties with deliberate speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision.
  • Compose and distribute correspondences and emails.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing and photocopying.
  • Preparation and coordination of meetings, video conferences, events, and presentations.
  • Arrange travel, hotel, and car reservations and prepare itinerary for the managers.
  • Exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority and protect confidential information. 
  • Develop and maintain a well-organized filing system that permits easy reference and rapid retrieval of information.
  • Other assigned administrative work and ad hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications Required:

  • University or college graduate.
  • At least 1 year of secretarial and/or clerical work experience.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and graphic software (i.e. Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop) would be an asset.
  • Strong editing and grammar skills and a penchant for creating professional technical reports, presentations, and documents.
  • Must be able to write fluent, well-structured English text and edit technical material. 
  • Be able to work with minimal direction and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Position may necessitate overtime on work days and weekends, as well as some travel.
  • Website experience a plus.
