CWA Engineers Inc. (CWA) is an industry-leading consulting engineering firm that provides services in the ports and marine terminals, mining, infrastructure, and wood products industries to clients in North America and around the world.

With our expanding client base and growing project needs, CWA is looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Mechanical Engineer.

In this role, you will lead a design team, meet face-to-face with clients and vendors, and manage small to medium-sized projects. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience designing, supervising site work, and/or specifying equipment for bulk conveying systems, bulk loading and unloading equipment, and related facilities.
  • Experience taking a lead technical role in detailed design projects involving conveyors, feeders, bins, and transfers.
  • Experience writing detailed specifications, reports, and proposals.
  • Experience writing, reading, understanding, and applying design criteria, industry standards, and client specifications. 
  • Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while interacting with co-workers, clients, and contractors.
  • Experience with industrial HVAC and dust control would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
