We have multiple openings for mechanical engineers of all experience levels. The positions will be based in our Vancouver office at the Broadway Tech Centre, with amenities including a fitness centre, basketball and volleyball courts, an outdoor BBQ area, restaurants, cafés, bike lockers, underground parking, a daycare facility, and convenient access to the Renfrew SkyTrain Station.

Position overview:

As an integral member of our mechanical team, your role will include preparing designs, specifications, technical reports, and capital cost estimates. You are well-rounded and motivated to be involved in the complete spectrum of a project. Your responsibilities will include preparing designs, specifications, technical reports, capital cost estimates, and schedules; conducting field inspections; and coordinating with internal and external parties for both project work and business development.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering and registration as an engineer in training or professional engineer with EGBC.
  • Five or more years of relevant design experience with heavy industrial equipment and piping, preferably with an emphasis on the mineral processing industries.
  • Experience writing, reading, understanding, and applying design criteria, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • The ability to complete small projects independently.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and/or Solidworks.
  • A demonstrated ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
  • The ability to travel to work sites and accommodate occasional evening or weekend work.
