This position will be based in our Vancouver office at the Broadway Tech Centre, with amenities including a fitness centre, basketball and volleyball courts, an outdoor BBQ area, restaurants, cafés, bike lockers, underground parking, a daycare facility, and convenient access to the Renfrew SkyTrain Station.

Position overview:

In this role, you will help lead a multidisciplinary team to see projects through to completion. You will support project managers in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects; prepare proposals, reports, and memorandums; prepare design documentation; and liaise with clients and contractors. Domestic and international travel may be required to meet with clients and oversee and inspect engineering projects.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and registration as a professional engineer with EGBC.
  • 5-10 years of relevant heavy industrial design experience.
  • 5-10 years of project coordination experience.
  • Experience writing detailed specifications and reports.
  • Experience preparing successful proposals.
  • A demonstrated ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • A natural ability to take on a leadership role and mentor junior engineers and designers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A valid BC driver’s license.
