CWA Engineers Inc. (CWA) is an industry-leading consulting engineering firm that provides services in the ports and marine terminals, mining and minerals, infrastructure, and wood products industries to clients across North America and around the world.

With our expanding client base and growing project needs, CWA is looking for qualified Structural Engineers to join our dynamic team. 

Responsibilities include preparing designs, specifications, technical parts, and capital cost estimates. In addition, this position will involve performing field assignments including structural condition inspections for facilities and equipment. This position may require travel to job sites on a short-term basis.

The ideal applicant will possess the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Structural Engineering, and Professional Registration with APEGBC.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant design experience including conveying systems, bulk loading and unloading equipment, buildings, and structural support systems for process equipment.
  • Experience conducting inspections and repairs for infrastructure at ports, marine terminals, and mines for a range of bulk material handling equipment, including ship loaders, reclaimers, and rail car dumpers.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with clients, contractors, and other consultants.
  • Ability to take a lead role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications in English.
  • Valid BC driver’s license.
