New Pebble Crushing Facility

Highland Valley Copper
Pebble Crushing Facility
Logan, Lake

CWA was retained by Highland Valley Copper and Fluor to design a new $45 million pebble crushing facility as part of the $475 million copper and molybdenum mill modernization project in south-central British Columbia.

CWA engineered a completely new crushing circuit and building, a 300 tonne surge bin, moveable belt feeders, as a well as dust control and HVAC. To minimize plant downtime, CWA designed the new system to be built and pre-commissioned prior to any tie-ins to the existing plant. The overall plant expansion, which will increase annual mill throughput by 10%, is slated for completion by the end of 2013.
